Material Handler

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Type: Full-time ( Weekday Daytime Shift) 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay: Starts at $15.00 per hour

The Material Handler’s responsibilities will include supplying various work areas with the necessary materials needed in order to complete processes and being involved with product flow throughout the warehouse. This detail-oriented role will facilitate production and report to the Production Supervisor.

​

Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Production Supervisor

  • Key contributor to the overall efficiency of workstations; maintains effective and efficient processes of delivering and removing material from various work stations.

  • Primary responsibility will be to stage the saws and deliver cut material from saws to the other work stations.

  • Monitoring saws to ensure that product is ready for changeover in color, size etc.

  • Occasionally required to move finished product to pack and shipping

  • Keep aisles and racking clean and tidy at all times; organize materials where possible

  • Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures; making sure that pre-op inspection is completed before operating forklift each day

  • Help with product delivery and management of materials as necessary

  • Complete Whip's fork lift certification and safely maintain fork lift when driving

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Attention to detail is a must

  • Reliable/Excellent attendance

  • General understanding of material and product flow is an asset

  • Strong understanding of colors and depths (3/4 vs 5/8) of product is essential

  • Work safely and keep all areas neat and organized

  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds independently and multiple times daily and comfortably bend, crouch, reach, and stretch

  • Able to stand for an 8 hour shift every day

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work

  • Must have an excellent attendance record

  • Must be willing and able to follow all company policies

  • Willing to learn new skills and train in all areas of work cell

  • Meets productivity, quality, and safety goals

  • Actively participates in all team meetings and events

  • Desire to have long term employment
